I'm pretty sure the guy that certified this is on these boards too.

Is this an authentic piece?

In my opinion it isn't good. Mike Frost is a member here. Post a comment on his profile with a link if you'd like to ask him about it. He's been good at responding, even when he's being questioned about something he's certified.

I thought he was, but I'm sure he'll just stand by it. I was leaning towards it not looking right in my own opinion.

From what I've seen, he's been good about acknowledging mistakes.

Is it just me, or does that look incredibly wacky?  Unless there's a variation of his signature I haven't seen.

ive been studying up on jackson for the past 2 years. can't call myself a super expert but if it was me I would stay away. doesn't look right. if it is real some still wouldnt go for it just because it doesn't match the other common autos of his. there may be some rare examples of this tho.

I don't think its good but I do think Mike has been very good coming in here and explaining things without resorting to blaming everyone in the world. If he makes a mistake it seems he admits to it and fixes it.

Personally I would avoid

I agree 100% and think it is a fake.....!

FAKE !  FRAUD ALERT

I am so glad to be a member here and have really learned whom and whom not to be involved with, and who and who not in the industry to trust.

Thanks to Steve Cyrkin, Roger Epperson and AML issues like this could now be explained instead of false accusations and rumors being thrown all over the Internet and autograph hobby.

As for this Michael Jackson signed CD, I had to say I think it is not authentic , when the truth is I know it is not authentic.

IT IS A FAKE, as well as the Letter of Authenticity. That is not an authentic P.A.A.S. Certificate.

The COA is a fake and the morons that created this certificate were so smart to leave in the description  "Michael Jackson hand signed "thriller" record album , then they use a photograph of a different item and it happens to be a CD. ( Please use our database Click here: PAAS - Professional Autograph Authentication Services )

It is so easy and I would appreciate anybody to contact me directly 954 450-4283 or e-mail specialagent711@aol.com when you see something like this. Unlike many autograph authenticators in the industry, I do not have to hide from questions and I am always available.

Tyler Gray, I would like to take this subject further if you could please share with us all, where you have found this listing, where it is posted and who the seller is.

Thank you

Michael Frost

P.A.A.S.

Is there anything obvious to look for in a PAAS original certificate as compared to a fake one (without of course giving away any information that might be helpful to forgers)?  Are original PAAS certificates all hand signed?  Thanks Scott

Yes, the Full Letters Of Authenticity are hand signed. Also, if you notice, there is no PAAS sticker on the cd booklet.

This is what my Smashing Pumpkins PAAS LOA looks like.

Yes I signed each and every P.A.A.S. COA by hand. Each item receives a matching numbered archival acid free tamper proof numbered hologram. This numbered hologram should match the numbered certificate, each item is also entered into our database. Any item we have actually examined and authenticated could be looked up on our website in our database.
The certificates themselves if physically examined are marked and could be detected by our staff as well as law enforcement. There are a few other security measures that I could not share on line at this time.
It is important to note that besides the P.A.A.S. I have personal witnessed PSA/DNA AND JSA certificates and stickers that have been fake. Most of this fakes certificates of authenticity and stickers have been coming from Asia but there are a few homegrown frauds that will shortly be exposed. The best thing is when in doubt make a phone call or send an e-mail.
