I have never seen a Steiner authenticated Mickey Mantle signed item. I'm concerned about the c and the k in Mickey. The area where the c and k connect isn't right and the arc of the top of the c is way too much. Opinions?

Currently up for auction...same image as the one I just had that failed...this one is being sold with a score board cert. I saw this a while ago for I think $200 and now it has dropped...I really liked it at first...and I don't know if its just me or my Mantle trained eye is loosing its touch...but just like the one I had that failed...looking at it more and more...I am starting to feel this a super hybrid forgery that is going to fool many collectors...

Thoughts fellas ?

The "n" is highly unusual and certain to raise some eyebrows. But given the high speed and flow, I think it is probably ok. Your previous example that failed was signed much, much slower. No comparison there.

the "ick" is different, isn't it?  I don't like this one.  but like Ruth's I am getting to the point where I just can't be sure anymore.

Don't like the n or the second part of the M in both names.
Forgot to mention I don't like the c or its connection to the k. It doesn't have the up/down stroke. It just goes up. In my opinion this is no good.
The upstroke from the a to the n has hesitation as does the bottom of the y. Getting back to the c, it is one motion up and down. Mick lifted the pen and started the downstroke of the c as a separate motion. This one is one motion.

clicked the link and it wasnt there any longer

Authentic IMHO

this one has 21 hours left on it at 124 bucks now....

I would also like to add that my Mantle did pass "Quick Opinion" (blue auto with hat in hand) but turned out to be bad under being visually looked at and not a image on a computer screen...

Your Request for Item "MICKEY MANTLE SIGNED 8X10 BLUE SHARPIE HOLDING HAT", eBay Lot No. "281128260151", opinion was rendered at "6/28/2013 9:17:52 AM" and the result was:

Thank you choosing the QuickOpinion service!

This is a pretty good fake that I have talked with Cee Gee about. My first reaction was fake, but the more I looked at it, it started to fool me. This forger gets the "c" and "n" right which is hard to do. His "M"s need work which is what made me feel eerie about it at first sight. The scary part, is his "placement" of the auto is dead-on.

I think Tony's above is good IMO.
Was thato t directed towards me terrier On the ball..there are certainly thinvs I like ans dont like about it. As for my photo if I had the dough for jsa or PSA I would send it out but ive not had any reason to think it was bad.I trust you guys opinion over anyone else
