Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not. I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples. These TTM signatures are not cheap. You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box. The question is are they real or not. Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.
Please post your thoughts here and examples.
thanks
Mark

I agree Steven. Dave should leave it alone at this point.
Im getting a bit confused here. Was this Hot Tin Roof poster deemed authentic or secretarial with this styled 'S'? Ive seen more 'Sincerely's signed this way I think. Hard to keep track.
John Carpenter,
The JLL sig on the Hot Tin Roof was deemed authentic by Roger Epperson. I have not heard opinions on authenticity on that item from anyone else.
Thanks. Why this is so confusing is there is another example (posed by Steven Jackson I think) that is in silver, with a different style S in 'Sincerely' that was also seen as authentic. Have we determined if JLL writes his own Sincerely? If so, how can he do it in 2 different styles and be authentic?
It appears that his style is to use two different styles.
I don't have a definitive answer but my feeling is sometimes JLL writes his own inscriptions and on others someone else has. Regarding the example you mention, I am comfortable saying the signature is authentic but I am unsure on the inscription. I am mainly concerned with the signatures so have spent less time studying the inscriptions and various flourishes sometimes seen.
It appears that way. Has anyone seen a 'God Bless You' inscription other than the one I receieved?
The photo apparently was signed in person in 1999. The LP is from a fan's collection of JLL autographs.
