I just got these in - JSA Authenticated - Beckett Encapsulated CAN YOU FIND THE ONE WITH THE LISTING ERROR?

Here are a few items I had authenticated and encapsulated. Received them back today. It was about a 2 month process to have them authenticated by JSA and then sent to Beckett for encapsulation.

Upon waiting for notification of authenticity, they told me that the items would either be sent to Beckett if found to be genuine or sent back to me if they weren't. I still don't know why they can't reveal it to you once they have made a decision.

With that said, they made an error in the listing. See if you can tell which one it is and the error!

Reeves instead of Reeve?

Yep. Again proves their expertise is in the area of sports. I'm sure they would'nt have misspelled Derek Jeter's name.

you have good eyes, ballroom.  I couldn't even figure out what he meant by a "listing error"

Yeah...wasn't really sure how to quality it

Have you contacted them to tell them?

Just got them today
I get that its a common mistake made by the every day guy, but what's even more obvious is that the autograph plainly reflects how his name should be spelled.

Not a good look on their behalf

I immediately knew to go to the Christopher Reeve item but Ballroom is tops.

I was going to leave well enough alone, but I can't help myself. Why?

Why would you spend hard earned money on opinions & slabs?  Graphs that you know are authentic ...yet you  send them to JSA and or Beckett?

I just don't get it.

ditto Pete, I was thinking the same thing

I knew you would chime in on this one, Pete. AND I TOTALLY GET YOU. It's ok because we have had this conversation and I know how you and many feel this way.

To be truthful, it's about presentation. I have my stuff displayed and my wall is packed and I've moved to shelves and cases. With that said, I've been a sports card guy and encapsulation has been my thing for a while.

It's totally a matter of personal preference. There are many alternatives (cheaper ones at that) that I could gone with in terms of presentation. However, this is the route I chose. PSA was my first choice, but they aren't doing 8x10 encapsulations anymore.

Sorry if it's something that's hard to get. We all have have our own idiosyncrasies...I guess.
