Very curious piece here -- wondered what others make of it.

An EP autograph done in what looks like felt-tip....green no less!

There were felt-tips of various colors in the 1970's --I know, as a kid I used some in that era, but according to what I've seen, Rich Consola swears there are very few of this type in existence.  Still, they were on the planet while Elvis was, so it's not impossible that he used one.   The lettering in the dedication looks spot-on in many ways, only the signature causes me to think twice.  It does look like a pen that was running dry though, so whoever wrote it looked like they were having some difficulty (?)

The text as I read it goes:

"To M???  My best & Thanks, Elvis Presley "

Thoughts?

100% fake

I agree with Steve. Not real. And not because of the green felt tip. You're right, they were definitely around then. But the letter formation is bad. And even though there might be just a little Elvis similarity in the inscription, like the "T" in Thanks, I think the word "best" is actually not right either. Of course, it's hard to decipher with the marker, and that was probably part of the plan.

this is fake but he lived plenty long enough to see a felt tip pen, not a sharpie but some sort of felt tip pen.

Sorry - I do not like it.
