Michael Jackson drawings (Miscell inc. 'Historic portraits' and 'Disney characters')

I'm noticing a sudden influx of MJ signed Michael Jackson drawings coming on to the auction market, which seem to share the common themes of either 'portraits of historical figures'  or 'Disney characters'.

Both of these themes are of course recognised from Michaels' drawings both at a young age and later in life, but it is interesting that so many new drawings are being released on to the market at the same time.

Here are some current examples:

A new ebay listing for a signed and inscribed piece of paper (no drawing) from a seller who has previously offered ' signed drawings' for sale.  (maria_butterfly0152, based in Germany).  The previous drawing had a supposed  'Epic' letter of authentication, but this new 'autograph' has no COA.

The artificial 'ageing' of this piece is quite amusing.

Another  autograph of the 'Simon Parr' signed pillowcase type, this time a handkerchief signed ''London 1996' from Killeigh2003. Seller states there is a COA, which is not shown. 10 Euro starting price.

Simon Parr is listing another auction on the 'Invaluable' site, on 29th August 15.  Yet more (fake) drawings, pillowcases and napkins are on offer. Most are between £400 and £600 starting price, with £1000 start for the 'Minnie Mouse'

I hope that any purchasers at the  Simon Parr auction today have PERSONALLY Inspected the items for sale before purchase, to determine whether these items are what the description says they are (as per the auction conditions of sale.)

Thanks for keeping up on this Lizzie.  I don't comment too often if its just the same ole same ole from this place but I read every post you put on here.  So thank you.

All the items I am familiar with (non M J ones) that Simon Parr are selling are also fake and they come up every month as well

Thank you for this helpful comment.  I've just logged in to the 'Invaluable' site to check the final bids on the Simon Parr 'Bert Stern' Auction, dated 8th August 15, and despite there having been quite a few high value bids up to the start of the auction, the realised prices all state '£0'...seemingly for all 475 items.  These are all 'unverified', so none of this seems very transparent.    I wonder what happened to all those multi-hundreds of pounds of bids?

http://www.invaluable.co.uk/catalog/searchLots.cfm?scp=c&catalo...

Hmm, it seems that some / all of the 'Bert Stern' Marilyn photos have been rolled over to the 26th September and the 4th December 2015...

I'm wondering why someone would spend so much time and effort on this apparently profitless exercise?

Much to my amusement, Invaluable seem to have awarded this 'auction house' their 'Platinum Rosette'.  I wonder what for?  Misleading the public?

I thought I'd add photos of a few of the forged signature MJ photos included in the Simon Parr auction dated 29th August 15 (Lots 91-94):

And a 'signed armbrace' Lot59

http://www.invaluable.co.uk/auction-lot/michael-jackson-signed-armb...

This is a bit 'off piste' as regards the thread topic, but I happened to notice a gold MJ signed armbrace which has a rather similar signature  to the Simon Parr Lot 59, 29 Aug 15 auction above, from an ebay seller based in Norway (plasticbagman78).  This seller notes that he only accepts direct payments into his / her bank account, and not Paypal payments.

I've tried to find the COA source online but just came up with an ebay community link, where someone says that they have been unable to find any web presence for this New- Jersey based COA provider (JFH Collectibles) since about 2006.

And on the same theme, another signed armbrace this time from Christiana Auctions of New Jersey, for their Sept 15 auction: (Also offering the next 'MJ' Mickey drawing)
