We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

Terry,

I love the page. It's so active that the amount of traffic in your newsstream can get overwhelming for some, but you can get rid of that by unfollowing the page and just reading and searching it when you want. Then friend members you're considering buying from.

I'm sure many people love it. The point being that this is a thread about musicians that sell their autographs in their stores. RACC is not that, and it is misleading to post  a link to that group and indicate that is what it does- it is a retail outlet for the most part, for ALL types of sigs and a rather small subsection of that site duplicates most of the info already found here. I simply asked Mr Kasmer to post any info regarding musicians signing and selling in this thread rather than being "lazy" and linking a retail-oriented FB page. Some of us prefer to not have to read hundreds of sales pitches and download images of merch instead of being solely on topic- the topic of musicians selling in shop. What's the point of having this thread if you drive traffic elsewhere to get the info?  I like this thread and simply hate seeing it turned into yet another tool for autograph sellers (other than the artists) to pimp their wares. (I think you opened that door when you allowed a member here to "sell" his OWN signed album on this site, in this thread.) Maybe it's just me, I just like to use this thread as a nice compilation of INFORMATION on legitimate signatures for sale by the artist, the MUSICAL artist, not the new free safety for the Dallas Cowboys...

I really can't see what your problem is Terry, same goes for Rock G.
RACC on FB is just great, and this thread is too.
If you don't like RACC, just stop being a member or don't look at the page, it's as simple as that. I haven't been disturbed by a single post here on this thread. And on FB, you can easily filter the posts you want to see. And if you would like to make the page even more interesting, you can always start a topic yourself.
For some people it will never be good...

Allow me to explain again: What is the purpose of this thread? It is to compile a list of MUSICIANS that sign and sell in their stores. That's it- no commercial interests from members, no selling of items, a purely informational thread without ads. What is the purpose of RACC? To compile information on MANY DIFFERENT GENRES of autographs and allow individuals to openly sell their signed items (via  ads) and share information on obtaining those signatures in person. HUGE difference.  Again, if RACC wishes to share information it has on MUSICIANS that sign and sell in this thread, that fits within the purpose of this thread, we'd appreciate that. It just make no sense to me to link another site in this thread when he could easily just post the information- why, if I follow this thread, do I need to go to a FB page to get info? Isn't that the point of this thread? Yes, it is..and again, I'm not slagging RACC- it has its uses and fans- that's great, keep using it if you wish. My point, and concern, is the direction of THIS thread....

Its not directly from the artist therefore its spam. Not to mention all it takes is a few forgers to get in to that group and bam not from the artist AT ALL.

I know where to buy autographs on the internet I dont need to be directed where to get them from an unknown party in a topic about how to get a autograph DIRECT from a musician.

It would be best if you read completely before replying.

Rock G-

Add some milk to those Wheaties! Might lessen the effect of the pee....

People are just trying to help, relax. Michael Kasmar is one of the good guys.

I agree, I also am subscribed to that group on FB and find it very informative, entertaining and resourceful as a novice collector.

It is printed - I have the boxset.
