Hi guys,

I've had this signature for a while. There are some aspects to it I like and some I don't like.

What do you guys think?

I don't like the last part of it at all, I'm afraid...

I'm not sure I've seen an example where he made the a but not the u. I wouldn't feel comfortable buying this.

How about the looped, crossed "T"? I've never seen an authentic Macca signature with that characteristic.

I know he occasionally crosses the "T" on a small sample size of his signatures. The "P" and the "M" look consistent. So do the curves after the second "C" and the "T." But, the absent of the "U" and the "A" and "R" in his last name makes it hard to authenticate.

This is one of those autographs you need to see more examples of from reliable in-person sources. Until then, it's best to avoid it.

Or, better yet, McCartney's phone number? ;-)

I called. Wrong number.

The signature is just so atypical. I wouldn't buy it.

Not real. I've never seen a genuine example with him not making the a in Paul, and/or him crossing the t in his last name.

Mystery solved!

Here's an example from Caiazzo's website of Paul's handwriting of the word "Beatles." Look carefully at the "t" in Beatles:

Now, here is the "t" compared to the "t" in the autograph I posted:

that really is not even close to an authentic McCartney signature
