Tony, thanks for the link to this hilarious story. It's really hilarious if you get a look at the Babe Ruth "signed" baseball. The police called this a really good fake! I haven't laughed that hard since the Warren Report came out - okay I wasn't born yet, but you get the point. Obviously, the police in Georgia aren't great authenticators. Wow. What a horrible fake! I guess the pawn shop isn't laughing though.

Hers a pic of the ball below.

There was a guy doing this last year to pawn shops somewhere. I wonder if it's the same guy.

Also, here's a pic of the COA as best I could get it. Not sure where it's from. But I'm sure it's not a legit company - probably a forensics document examiner.

Hilarious is right!!!

Looks like a five-year old penned that "Babe Ruth."

Nice post, Tony.

Looks like the "Babe Ruth" in that video might not be the one that was sold.  Might just be a prop.

I love the quote "They were very, very good fakes."

Seriously!!!

Freaking laughable!!!

I have no sympathy for the pawn shop owner who bought that crap!!!!

He only had dollar signs in his eyes!!!

It's called greed!!!

"So Officer, how many autographs do you have in your collection?" - "Honestly, I don't collect autographs." - "That's what I thought." Lol.

"very, very good fakes" LMFAO. A baboon could do better. Hilarious.
