I'd say for the last 4-5 months VERY LITTLE authentic rock and roll autographed items have been put up for auction with no reserve. Instead of auctions, most items have ridiculous buy it now prices way more than actual value.
With the possible exception of Perry Cox's Beatles auctions (but those almost always sell for top prices due to Perry's reputation).
Perhaps the tons of fakes have finally scared away legitimate sellers?

This made me smile. Crappier than usual, good one.
Bruce, nice post.
I have felt that way for the past year or so.
With Ebay seemingly encouraging sellers of forgeries to list and sell, sellers of authentic items have no choice but to list their items with a high starting bid or Buy It Now/Best Offer.
Ebay has become the second coming of Roach's Corner Auctions.

I agree wholeheartedly. Still have to wonder why anyone would give E-bay ONE NICKEL? Just keep feeding the machine nimrods, complain and do nothing about it...
Maybe a class action suit against eBay is the only way to stop the madness? They tend to take notice when their bottom line is threatened. Perhaps a lawyer who is on this site can start the ball rolling? I'm down to take them on!
I never heard of that, Paul.
When that did happen, Ebay simply removed the item.
Back in the day, when Ebay had the EMR team in place, Ebay simply removed the auction if it failed "Ouick Opinion."
The EMR concept was not a conflict of interest. when it was in place, the forgeries were at an all time low. GFA would never have existed if EMR's were still around. They would have been on ebay's banned list. it wasn't that long ago, but it seems like ages now. it is a cess pool full of crap.
Paul, that is not true. they would just pull the item. you could even relist it after.
