Hello Everyone,
"Never say never" never rung more true for me than today, as I have decided to see if I can get some decent money for my precious 1969 Beatles signatures.
I have posted on this website before, back in 2010, just to share my prized possession. I saved the ensuing conversation as an image, which I am attaching to this post.
I was wondering what would be the best way to go about selling these and especially if I would need to obtain any further authentication done before moving forward with it.
Also, since I am not a collector per se, I would need some serious advice on how to handle a possible sale when it comes to the shipping and payment aspects of it.
Any and all comments are very welcome and much appreciated. Any questions that anybody might have, I will answer to the best of my ability.
Looking forward to your comments, suggestions, opinions, questions...
Thanks!
Jay (Ontario, Canada)

Decent money varies from person to person. It would be extremely difficult for you to get top dollar for your signatures handling the sale by yourself. Probably selling it to someone who handles these types of autographs for a little less than full value would save you a possible headache. Or consign them to a major auction and pay them a fee(some who charge buyer fees may not even charge you). There are pitfalls to selling and something of this value is best handled by the professionals.
Love the card,a beauty.
Hi Jay...Can you friend me and contact me privately please!!! Thanks...
Thanks everyone for your comments. As I am indeed looking to maximize the reward for parting with my signatures, it probably is a good idea to think about having it taken care of professionally. Does anyone have any personal experience handing an item off to an auction house like RR Auction and would you recommend them?
Thanks again!
Hello,
I have sold some items through R&R in the past. They are good people to work with, very helpful, will work with and listen to you. I remember going to NH and dropping my stuff off by hand - not sure if you still need to do this. It was a nice set of offices, efficient, with a framed collection of signed vintage candid snapshots on your left as you walk in that I will never forget because it has the most beautiful Richard Burton C. 1961 or so signed in emerald green I think. Anyway, this is a good place with good people from my experiences there. Drop them, Elizabeth I think, an email and ask your questions.
As a general statement, no matter who you deal with, make sure you get some level of input with the auction description. Sometimes you may very well know more about your item.
Eric
Thanks for your comment Eric.
I think I have browsed RR's website before, but now that I have something that I actually want to sell, I will probably look at it more scrutinizingly (is that even a word?) Thanks for the info!
Hi Jay, I am sure I can offer you more than anyone else for the 69 set and you won't have to lose 25% in auction fees. I always pay too much! Message me and confirm my friend request.
Carol
Congrats on selling them on Ebay recently. Seems they were restored in between 2010 and now...
That certainly wasn't me. My signatures were never restored in any way. Would you be kind enough to provide me with a link to the eBay sale?
Thanks,
Jay
