John Lennon signed letter to george Martin with the biting comment "how is seatrain doing?

here is a letter John Lennon wrote to George martin, yelling at martin for taking too much credit for the beatles.  But he didn't sign with his full name-just john with some comments.  What does people think?

That's one great piece of Beatles history. Where is it?

Yes, like most things I have I can no longer hang on my walls to I securely store things. I have more beatles things of this nature but have to redo the photos,

I like this letter balling George Martin and the editor of Melody Maker out for Martin taking too much credit for Beatles songs because it actually discusses who wrote many of those songs.

And the line oh, and how is Seatrain (a Massachusetts band) doing" 40 years later just drives home even more who the genius was.  Maybe I will put the seatrain line on a tee shirt and popularize it. At the office water cooler " your going to do what Joe? Yeah, right Buddy,oh and  by the way, how is Seatrain Doing"

BTW, and the end Lennon does a ps: L.P. Winner" I have seen this in another Lennon letter. Any idea what it means?

Ptr

Is that George Martins hand in red on the letter?

What kind of provenance do you have with the letter?

Yeah in the storage on mars.

From Sentimental John in NY 1971(a response to a Melody Maker article) in red marker is said to be Lennon but he only uses his first name which makes sense given how well he knew George Martin- But what do you think, is it real?

ps-I have moved to Pluto-

John used his first name if he knew someone or signed just his first name.

Its difficult to say if it's authentic being a typed letter, it's a job for someone like Caiazzo to figure out.

IF HE WAS SIGNING JUST FOR A FAN/ALBUM COVER HE USUALLY GAVE FULL NAME

I recognize it is typed but has quite a few words as well in his own hand-enough for any handwriting expert to work with I hope.

I could of course go to frank caiazza but thought I would throw it out here cause the content is so great if authentic

Lennon was referring to the music paper,"Melody Makers" habit of awarding the writer of the best letter of the week a free L.P.They would become the"L.P.Winner"

great bit of info. I thought he was going to same place Charlie sheen was when he went nuts and was sayi g winner a lot. ha

Usually!

Here are pictures and an article on some other angry letters John sent. Your letter is present. I believe it is in The John Lennon letters book. Where did you get the letter and when?

Yes it is in the book.  I got it maybe 10 years ago at Its only rock and roll auction.  They are out of business now and a bunch of crooks-the zakarins
