I have been collecting Star Wars autographs since 1998.  Not all of my signatures are on Star Wars memorabilia.  For example, when I met Warwick Davis at a comic convention in New York City, I had him sign a Willow photograph.  I also have publicity photos of Sir Alec Guinness and Christopher Lee from the 1970s, and a Natalie Portman signed The Diary of Anne Frank theater poster from her performance on Broadway back in 1998.  My current wish list includes Peter Cushing, Terence Stamp and John Williams.  I am interested in knowing about the collections and wish lists of other members.

I am only familiar with Kenny Baker's autograph and it appears to be pretty typical to me.  I defer to Pete on the other autographs.  He is the Grand Jedi Master of Star Wars autographs.

Wizard Con Autographs in Nola this weekend - don't shoot, don't shoot!

The last one is to make Pete throw up in his mouth a little....

Some of the worst forgeries I've ever seen have been at booths at cons.. can't believe no one has cleaned that up yet.

I don't know what I am more concerned over the horrid forgery or the fact that anyone on the planet would think Scarlett is only worth $75

The target victim is a comic collector completely unfamiliar with autographs who makes an impulse buy. If it was $25 it would be suspiciously cheap even to someone with no knowledge. "This dealer seems like an honest guy and $75 seems realistic." And the trap snaps shut.

I'm amazed at how many people think "well if they are here at the convention, it can't be fake".  Honestly its a poor reflection on the convention to have these guys there, which is why I'm surprised they haven't cleaned house yet.  At Celebration in Anaheim this past year they had some really bad ones.  Since PSA was there authenticating stuff, I asked one of them if he would guarantee it to pass and he said "no, PSA has no clue what they are doing."

That's funny...
Anybody dumb enough to buy that Johannson almost deserves getting ripped off.

She so hard to get. PSA and JSA can't even get her right. More than half those I see authenticated are bad forgeries.

Thank you Pete and Mike, appreciate your help!

So, I had a very good year adding to my Star Wars autograph collection in 2015. I bought these from Eric at Skyline Signatures. Did it via PM here on AML and got a better deal than his store on eBay. Great guy and authenticity is not a problem. I highly recommend him.
