I had to share this, which made me nearly spit my coffee across the floor this morning!

A Special tribute magazine to celebrate the life of David Bowie, on sale from an eBay member..... And guess what?.... It has been signed by David!

Now, the seller may have or may not have signed is, but it doesn't take a genius to notice it has his birth date and sadly date of death on the cover.

How stupid are some people?

Me too! Thank you for your help Wascher!

What a shame! Good - they removed it. Thank you Richard for watch out. Here is mine- framed last year.

Very welcome! Cool signed card! These were very limited.

Lovely. It is one of my favorite films, and he is one of my favorite personalities. Bold framing, and I like it.

Eric

I attach mine:

Thank you Eric. Yes it looks great and I am very happy that I cold acquire this card last year. I got a fantastic framer just around the corner, who is around 70 and very experienced. His work is in museum quality. By the way his  brother was the chief restorer of the Hungarian National Gallery in the beautiful city of Budapest. How do you framed your "Bowies"?

I would frame it like mine, quadratic, is the "outside" a cd or LP Cover? The catalouge  seems bigger and the auto looks great...

Regards Uwe

Hi Uwe,

That is just a suggested appearance - it is not framed yet. I was once a conservation framer also.  The cover is a 12" x 12" flat, the program is 8". They are shown to relative scale here. I think of this as a "poor man's" signed litho/self portait ;)

Eric

I framed my sleeves (around 20)
always like my White Album signed by Paul McCartney or like this: always the same size and material. I like it when its got an consistent appearance. Click on the image and you see it full.

Uwe

Yes, in total 100: 50 cards with the image of David Bowie with hat and 50 cards David Bowie without hat. I am so glad to have this one. The same goes for  the Blackstar clear vinyl album. I preordered the album and got it for 22,99 €. Now a few days later it is worth about 350-400 €, unbelievable...

David Bowie now joins Jimi Hendrix in the musical autograph time machine. : P  "Jimi" has been known to have come back and autographed albums that were not released while he was still alive.  A fool and his money . . .

That's the funniest, and stupidest thing I've seen in a long time.  Almost sounds like I'm commenting on the current election cycle :).
