At a Church auction and they had a pre-print.. do you tell them.

I was at my church silent auction and they had a preprint Carolina Panther silver ball of all team members.  I showed it to my wife and she knew as well as I that it was a preprint.  I really wanted to say something , but didn't.  The ball went for over $100.  I really wanted to say something, but didn't. 

Should I have a spoken up??
