I have been collecting Star Wars autographs since 1998.  Not all of my signatures are on Star Wars memorabilia.  For example, when I met Warwick Davis at a comic convention in New York City, I had him sign a Willow photograph.  I also have publicity photos of Sir Alec Guinness and Christopher Lee from the 1970s, and a Natalie Portman signed The Diary of Anne Frank theater poster from her performance on Broadway back in 1998.  My current wish list includes Peter Cushing, Terence Stamp and John Williams.  I am interested in knowing about the collections and wish lists of other members.

I'm not worried about it, sorry, didn't mean to cause alarm, chuka and I have to converse here because he refuses to use any other form of digital communication and my carrier pigeon is currently on another errand.

Hey I am here, I'm on scum and I answer emails.....what else do you want from my life?

Hahahahahaha!

Very nice Mike T. I hope that you get it all sorted out. Please keep us posted.

OK update, here is the correct photo, same shot, no JEJ. Nice Guinness sig. Now the question.. to add Jones or leave it alone.

My answer won't be the popular one, but I say leave it alone.

Something about James' more modern signature really bugs me. I can't explain it, but seeing the exact same signature coming from him for 30+ years, and blam ....he starts not flowing the graph, name to name or letter to letter.

I just can't stand seeing the J's just headed straight down ....off into the nothingness.

I'm definitely leaning that way.. technically its complete as-is with the pictured actors, and Jones isn't as easy to get anymore.. and I'm lazy.  I'm with you on the newer sigs.

Any examples to share?

Being at work I don't have samples on this computer, but thius link

james earl jones autograph - Google Search

Starts off with some nice samples and devolves into the modern signature pretty plainly.

Is this the style you are referring to? Stem of J is perfectly vertical... very neatly applied. Yet this seems to be a pack pulled card.

Here is a alleged TTM success from 2012... looks very similar:

And here is what I got TTM just before he announced he was going to stop signing. Definitely has a different feel and slant than the ones above.

In my opinion all of these fall into the modern category, yet there are differences as the years pile on.

These are the normal signature that I have always attributed to JEJ...

I would add a James Earl Jones autograph to the photo.  It looks very nice above Darth Vader's head in the original photo that was posted.  Thank you for the update Mike T.  Do you have any way of achieving his autograph if in fact you decide to add it to the photo?  I have heard that he has become very difficult lately.

Thanks Mike, JEJ is definitely tougher than he used to be, but he will still sign in person and TTM on occasion if you contact him first. He seems to prefer signing multi items rather than solo shots, so I'm sure I would have an opportunity to get it signed eventually. He is also going to be in Rogue One.
