Hi Guys,

Me again!

What are your thoughts on this one?

The seller got it in person outside a Buddy Holly event in London in the late 90's. Its actually from Richard, who's a user on here. Goes by the UN: Ricardo.

Looks genuine to me but wanted other's thoughts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Ben

To correct .. It's a 1988 signature

It looks good to me too.

I have never seen a McCartney (last name) signed like that. the last few letters look slow and seem to have excessive pen pressure.  I do hope its authentic.

It is authentic, I got it myself. There were lots of people outside the venue, and pushing and shoving, and to be honest I'm surprised under the circumstances it looks so good ! I also like the signatures where he writes the Macca under the Paul.
The Paul looks pretty good, but I agree with Terrier, McCartney doesn't look right to me. It's not one that I would want in my collection.
Once again, for those interested in autographs, this IS a genuine autograph- I got it myself from PM in 1988. Whether one likes the look of it as one of his signatures is another matter entirely. I have a large number of PM autographs which I have got in person, and although there are common elements obviously, they are all different, and some have some unusual features. Having seen the madness that sometimes surrounds him when he appears, I'm really not surprised by how some of his signatures turn out. As for me, I've been quite happy to have this one in my collection (I haven't sold it to date).
..further to my last post, here is another example of a not too dissimilar McCartney (the 'art' part)- again authentic
Here is is..

Ben was asking for opinions and I gave him mine. If something is odd enough that I think it may be hard to sell later on, I avoid it. I'm concerned about the last name only.

I accept that. Presumably though he was asking if it is genuine or not . It is, but he should decide whether he likes it or not., I think the 2 genuine examples I
attached are quite interesting variations of his signature, and worth taking note of by collectors

Nice autograph, congrats.

I think it's genuine. I do believe there are so many variations to his signatures that TPA are hesitant to authenticate them. I'd love to find a good Paul McCartney but it will need to be a dead ringer so that it won't be questioned down the road. Paul is a big investment.
