I'm leaning towards no...

I think that you can fully embrace "no."

How does this rate as a forgery on a 1-10? For something scrawled with some pressure on what seems a glossy LP in ball point it appears interesting.

I don't think this is signed on an LP...a photo in a folio perhaps...

Aside from a general overall dislike of the entire look and presentation did you notice that the whole thing is rather "scrunged" together ??

By that I mean the P in "Presley" goes up through the word "from" and also runs right through the "To Mary" salutation.

Can't recall that I have ever seen Elvis sign his name through the rest of the autograph like that...he was always to my knowledge much more careful than this  "sloppy" example.

It's just too "compact" for my liking...

Looks like it might be poorly traced.

The P is way off and looks traced as mentioned.

thank you guys!

tom

Yes, thanks. I was looking at this and the examples in the RR/Bill White study and the other one up online and this appeared to have an interesting amount of "attempted detail", even upside down and backwards, several little idiosyncrasies not "normally" encountered but there sometimes in authentic examples, so I was wondering how this rated as a forgery as it appears hard drawn in ballpoint. The problems mentioned seem large so I am a little surprised at the small idiosyncrasies present - I believe a number of authentic sigs must have been examined to produce this.
