John Lennon Bag One Lithograph Real?
Came across this John Lennon Signed Lithograph, Erotic #6 from the Bag One Suite and curious as to any and all opinions of its authenticity.
Included is a signed document of authenticity, however I have also come across a number of the same lithographs, signed and numbered, that are reproductions.
Interested in any and all opinions of authenticity as to whether this is an original Erotic #6 Lithograph from the Origianl 1970 Bag One Suite.

Not real in my opinion. And Lynne Clifford COAs are a big warning sign.
These were originally sold at shows, etc., alongside the Bag One prints. The dealer, I forget his name, would take people in back and show them a selection. Never saw a real one.

This is currently listed on Ebay for close to 6k USD. I am pleased to have found this site before purchasing, but I am curious as to why Lynne Clifford COA's are a warning sign. I did read that Clifford and Ono had a falling out with regards to business interests around the 2000's, but I can't understand how there is a discrepancy in the authenticity of pieces with that COA.
Also curious what specifically you see that veers you toward the notion this is not a genuine piece.
If its signed, numbered, endorsed by John Lennon's estate with COA, what more can there be to disprove authenticity?

All the ones I've seen have had Clifford COAs. I don't recall hearing of any sold at their road shows that were genuine.

Do you know why they were deemed not genuine? The signature on this one looks correct to me. If it isn’t authentic, I would think that it would have to be a repro.

Maybe it is but I've only heard about the tons of fakes, often sold for high 4 to 5 figures. Lynne Clifford signed the COAs.

The ones I was talking about were sold from the mid-2000s and up. I'm glad I was called on these. The ones I knew about were reportedly regularly sold by Larry Schwartz and had Clifford COAs.

I’d be curious to see what they look like because this one has a number associated with one of the originals (253), and as I mentioned the signature looks like what you would expect to see on an original. That’s why I was asking if it was a repro.

I would ask if the COA bears the embossed stamp of Bag One and if the cert is printed on Cranes Best 100% cotton rag paper.

I assumed this was one of the many fakes that came out based on what I was told and saw at the time. At that point, they were all signed by Clifford and she was supposedly the source based on the investigation. I saw Clifford, these looked like the fakes, and I didn't think otherwise.

I've read this before. While lengthy and comprehensive, it doesn't disprove the fact that there were 300 prints, and 45 hors commerce (H.C.) of the Bag One suite, published in 1970 that Lennon personally signed. Those are what I am after.
I also own a signed serigraph of one of Lennon's pieces from 1990, signed by Yoko Ono (the author would have clearly objected to this piece, too.)
While the author likes to deem anything not personally drawn, signed, and overwhelmingly endorsed by Lennon himself as fraudulent, I do not see anything "fraudulent" about Yoko Ono re-releasing his works of art and personally signing them herself. I own one of them, and I like it.
