I’m trying to find out how much my Harry Truman autograph is worth

Hello

Can anyone help me authenticate my Truman autograph?

Definitely looks authentic to me. Not sure on value but since it appears to be signed to a prominent individual it might have more value than a normal non-personalized example. Also gives it more provenance.

I agree, I think it's definitely real.

Hello,

That is dated 1948:

Let's compare to known authentic exemplars from 1942-1049:

I don't believe yours is authentic.

Here is a 1948 exemplar from RR:

Here's a Truman letter handwritten and signed as president that RRAuction sold last year:

The last page:

Thank you for your help.

I don't see it. The length, spacing, different formations...

Everything I have posted is RR or PSA. Herman Darvick would be the member to ask.

I'd concur with JMS1223 and Steve above that this is real.

It's a slight thing, but Truman would often do what I might call 'cascading dating' on items he signed.  Notice how "8/5/48" descends from left to right.  Here's an example of him still doing it nearly a decade later:

Your piece is nice as he signed it as President (always a plus as far as value).

What about the letter heights, spacing (only the OP has that much space between the "m" and "a", formations and the rest? For example, the OP is the only example with a lift before the "y". You are saying the OP fits in nicely with the exemplars posted here from RR and PSA?

This OP signature is on a card and the spacing is wider?
