John Lennon Signed Magazine Photo

I believe at first look most people will say this signature is not genuine.  That was my first impression. However after a more careful look at the signature I am leaning towards a genuine assessment. Any other thoughts?

I'd be totally amazed if this were to be real. I've never seen a "John" quite like this. Has anyone?

You mean not genuine? Are there examples of "John" that look like this - particularly the "Jo"?

Never seen a "JO" like that -- so even if real it would hard to convince others.

I’m thinking only John could sign something that bad !!! It’s for sale at IAA Europe with an estimate of €700 to €900 . Currently 7 bids and a high bid of €1500.

Oh dear! I've voiced my mis-givings about IAA many times. Rock n' pop is certainly not their speciality.

The examples posted by 1-2-3-FAW are somewhat similar to the OP example but they look rushed and the OP example doesn't. The "Jo"s are also not as extremely atypical.

The "John" in the OP example looks like it could have been written by Bon Scott (AC/DC) and the "J" looks like some of Bob Marley's "B"s. I know the last sentence is a little silly and irrelevant but I couldn't resist.
