I was thinking recently about the amount of fakes that are authenticated by GAI, so I went through my items and located 5 pieces authenticated by them. I looked up the corresponding number on their website (what's left of it anyway) and found that two items aren't even listed. The database shows no item exists. Two of the three items I know are legit as they were from a private Willie Mays signing a few years back and included the Say Hey authentication plus the MLB authentication. The other three I believe are bad. Two are Stan Musial 8x10's and one is Bart Starr 8x10.
What I find interesting is that you would assume that people who have legitimate authentic photo's used the GAI service. There should be a quantity that are real! But, it appears that almost everything I come across is FAKE! Did they authenticate anything real, or did they have a network set up where they had people produce known forgeries and then they authenticated them? It seems to be the latter. I wish I could remember who I bought these three from and contact them. You wouldn't think they would spend their time on Musial and Starr. Any opinions on this?

Oh my god are you at it again. Isn't this another working day. I bought many things from you that did not pass PSA and I have other people that did the same. Please don't get me started. I have been trying to be nice but I can only be patient for so long. Start being honest and then we will have some respect for what you say. Until then, get a life.
If Global Authentics wanted to depart from GAI, why in hell would they use a COA with an identical photo, layout and font? To save a few bucks on graphic design? Really bad idea.
BIG mistake.
I'm going to chip in with my two-cents here.
First, not everything with a old GAI COA is a forgery. Second, I have yet to see any GAI COAs with Mike Baker's signature that is authentic.
Mr. Zipper makes a good point. It would be impossible for the new Global Authentics, LLC to do a complete makeover. It would be like starting all over again. People who don't know autographs are only familiar with acronyms like PSA, JSA, GAI, etc., and the cosmetic attention of the old GAI.
That pretty much sums it up in a nutshell ZIP.
The one thing I must say, is that upon browsing the E-bay Mantle listings this morning, I can not find 1 GAI Global certed item for sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW, how did that happen? From being flooded with forgeries for 2+ years to absolutely nothing? Either they'll be flooded again soon or maybe someone IS WATCHING?
With-out Moral less, TTA, STAT, GAI & Birdsick, you have a great possibility of actually buying a real Mantle on E-bay today. By Fudd's estimation, the tide has turned from 90% Forgeries, to 90% REAL. Better act now folks! (LOL)
I would hope that the both of you would refrain from the personal attacks. It doesn't make either of you look good.
When I get personally attacked following a YouTube video, it shows me that the person making the personal attack has nothing else to offer and it makes that person look bad.
I can understand that sometimes your emotions can get the better of you, but it's better if the personal attacks stop. Present facts to make your case. Just calm down a bit. Relay your message in a professional manner and we will listen to both sides of your stories.
