It's a first come first served. The signed copies will be allocated in chronological order based on the date and time of purchase. So it's not guaranteed you will get a signed one.

EDIT: It's presumed to be SOLD OUT.

Probable longshot.  But the dollar is strong and the price shipped to the U.S. isn't bad.  Worst case scenario-I get an unsigned  UK first edition for about 33 bucks. An unsigned copy at Barnes & Noble is $28.99+ tax-so in my area about $31.38.  I'd have bought a reading copy anyway-even if I got a signed one.  So minimal risk in my case.  Thanks Vamonos!

I took a chance too. This is too big not to try. Theres still a few weeks left where we can always cancel orders if we find out we missed the boat somehow.

Yeah, agree -- I risked it. Typically, a respectable site will remove that disclaimer once they've sold out. We shall see, though.

I thought the same.

I contacted the store and they told me they could not confirm if my order would be signed.

If it's signed it will be worth a lot more than what I paid. Worth the risk.

Easons are to Ireland what Barnes and Noble are to US.  I'm from there.

That was my thinking too. I'm sure someone on here will contact them as the release date gets closer to see if theirs will be signed or not.

But really they should cancel any orders they get that are not going to be signed as the wording on the page makes it appear that you will be getting a signed copy. If they want to be honest then once they have sold their allotment the "Pre-order a signed exclusive edition. While stocks last." text should be removed. I suppose if you pay with paypal you could always fight it.

Also, where is this press release with the stores listed? We need to be keeping eyes on the rest of them too.

So this is like the Will Smith release?. his tour also only included an unsigned book

Bono will be visiting a few bookshops to promote the book. I am sure he will be signing a few in person too. That info was on the email I got from u2.com.

easons is an Irish bookshop so it makes sense a signed edition is exclusive sold by them.

I am hoping Bono will try to fulfil all pre-orders from easons. We shall see.

Easons is in his home town so it's best shot..

As of right now, there is no limit. I could add as many items to my cart as I wanted and was able to check out. You are right about the wording. Id hope they would cancel any orders that won't include a signed copy

Thanks Vamonos, Nice Find! I pulled the trigger on this, and hope that ALL of us Early Birds here on AutogLive who have pre ordered do indeed get a signed copy!
