Adding this thread as they've had a lot of nice recent offerings, have interacted on the site, and seem generally good folks (in my experience)

yeah, my Sammy Hagars showed up today and I didn't get a notice that they had even shipped until this morning. they seem to be constantly behind on getting the shipping confirmation emails out but that doesn't bother me, what does is yet another CD showing up with a cracked case, this is the third in a row from them. and it's not just them, i don't understand how you can be in the business of selling these items and not know how to pack them properly so they don't get damaged. I've noticed that everything I have ordered from the Independent stores lately always shows up with a piece of cardboard on both sides of the Cd and they are never damaged. seems like cardboard would be cheaper than returns or replacements but most of them don't seem to get it.

I'm still waiting on my reply to my request.....

I ordered a 'Signed' Mike Campbell / Dirty Knobs LP and received a non signed LP with a shitty 10" Print with a pretty poor Signature to boot!!!

So be ready for disappointment  and being ignored when you have a complaint from TALKSHOPLIVE...........

Did You see the The Knack signed cd it's horrible and I've sen't an e-mail with a question and no response terrible Customer service

What a waste of time company!

Ordered a ,Signed Mike Campbell & Dirty Knobs LP as that's what was advertised and a poorly Signed 10" Print arrived with it..... 10" Print WTF it wasn't even a 12" Print.

I already had a Signed print from Newbury i really didn't want another....

Then after I complain they tell me it's common practice to send a 10" Print when a Signed LP is advertised... What total arseholes!!!

Thank you so much for reaching out to us at talkshoplive.

We greatly appreciate your feedback and would love to offer clarity regarding this matter.
Please note that per the item description details, it was noted: External Combustion - LP w/ Signature ** Comes with signed album cover reproduction **

This is now a common practice among artists, especially since the global pandemic. This is also to avoid having to send hundreds, if not thousands, of physical CDs/Vinyl to the artist for signing and then ship them back to the distributor, often resulting in additional shipping delays.

We hope this clarifies this for you.

Kind Regards,

I opened a Credit Card dispute with them over a some signed CD's that were lost in the mail. They told me that they were contacting the artist's label to look into it and I never heard back for several weeks so I opened the dispute. They sent a refund the very next day....while they sell some nice signed items, good luck if you have a problem.

I had a problem with some stuff being damaged in shipping and they completely ignored my email. I never tried contacting them again... and even if it was in good condition when received, it really wasn't as described either. I just cut my loses and never ordered from there again. But like you said they do have some cool stuff here and there, so sometimes I'm tempted.

Yeah not a fan of Talkshop. I’ve always had issues. They sold a Donnie Osmond  CD with a signed lyric sheet. In the promos they held up a 8.5 x 11 sheet. When the item arrived it was a lyric card the size of the CD. it was affixed to the CD with rubber cement which left a grease stain on the card. I’ll never order from them again.

That sucks, very weird that they'd glue it to the CD. The ones I ordered were a signed book and a signed vinyl. I ordered the book, it said signed insert, and the vinyl said comes with a signed card. I thought it would be two  different signed items, I figured the book would be a bookplate, and the vinyl would have a signed card of the album art or something better... it ended up being the exact same signed sheet of paper for both. It looked like printer paper and just had a text ad for the book and vinyl with a crappy looking signature at the bottom. Wasn't a cool photo or anything, or even glossy photo type paper... probably one of the worst quality signed items Ive gotten.

I don't necessarily blame them for getting the exact same item, even though their ad was vague and somewhat sounded like two different things (card and insert). It was my fault for not asking if they were the exact same signed item. Although I wouldn't consider a thin sheet of paper a signed card. So either way the quality was kinda crap. I didn't complain about that, since I didnt ask beforehand... but then both were damaged in shipping and they completely ignored my email. So that really turns me off to a business when I get ignored about a problem, but I also didn't care that much since the item was so crappy to begin with I didn't really care to get a replacement, and I only wanted the items for the signatures, so I didnt care that much to get replacements of those either, so I never tried contacting them again... If anything I'll just cut the autographs off the bent up paper, or more likely let them sit inside the book for the rest of eternity lol.

I ordered UB40 with a signed poster. It came folded and was very badly smudged. Total crap.

And when they forget to send the signed item you can forget about a solution.

It's too bad about their customer service since they usually have pretty cool stuff. I think I got the Jewel signed cd from them also now that I think about it, and that I had zero problems with. But seems like it's a gamble and if you don't get what you expect you probably won't get a good resolution.

I've said a couple things about TSL on this thread. They do have a problem. It's a quality control problem coming from their distributor. I see it no differently than the days when I bought CDs in shops. If what I'm buying is defective, it's up the shop to help me out. Replace it or refund me.

TSL won't do either. I've opened a claim through PayPal and now I'm waiting for TSL's response to the claim. Yes, I know they don't technically accept PayPal, but I remembered that I used Google Pay for my order that got screwed up. That service is connected to my PayPal, so I can at least file the claim and have someone look more closely. TSL has a few weeks to respond...

I hate to be the only one to disagree but I guess I've had better luck, and if I had the problems you all did I would probably feel the same way. I have had several problems in the past, and yes their customer service is extremely slow and getting back to you. I thought they were just putting me off by saying they had to contact the distributor, and it took a long time but each time they always made it right. definitely a pain sometimes but I've gotten so many big names on there that I never thought I would get, that it's definitely worth the hassle for me, but like I said I've had decent luck with most of what I've bought from them.
