I have ordered books with signed bookplates from them before and they just put a bookplate in the book and don't attach them. So they probably just have a pile of them and put one in when you order any book. And I do agree that they do pack really well. Last time I ordered there was a bad storm and the box was soaked, but since it was packed well there was no damage.
