Need an educated opinion on this -

Got an eBay Aaron Judge with a Fanatics label on it. Hopefully someone has knowledge of Fanatics labels - I don’t have the best opinion of them and know there can be low quality control with their stuff.

The sticker is a hologram and the cert number registers on their website as a Judge. I’m questioning the sticker though because the QR code isn’t cleanly printed and my phone will not read it. Additionally, the red Fanatics symbol to the left of the word “Fanatics” is lower than what I see on other examples of this style label. Most of them, the F logo hits the bottom of the white part of the top left.

apart from the label - I noticed something on the actual signature that I have never seen and am wondering if this is typical or an indication of some sort of duplication method (autopen etc). There seem to be lines next to the signature that don’t look like part of the pen stroke.

I understand there will be the recommendation not to purchase on eBay etc. but if you could kindly take a look and give your opinion it would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

the signature itself looks off to me

The Aaron looks slowly done, huh?

I agree with that as well

Its not an autopen on a baseball, that's for sure.

why do you say that? I just found company that offers signature machines specifically advertised to sign sports equipment “baseballs, bats and mitts” - so it looks like it’s a thing.

Or do you mean that the signature doesn’t look like it’s from an autopen?

That's very bad news about the new machines.  If you happen to have a link please post it.  Baseballs used to be safe.

I would have said it doesn't look like an autopen but with that new machine who knows.

I don't like the QR code issue, though.  I'd contact Fanatics and ask them.  If the QR code doesn't work that defeats the whole purpose.

it looks like nothing is safe anymore - I have a history with terrible customer service from Fanatics for anything that you yourself didn’t purchase directly from them in the recent past. If you don’t have an order number then they will refuse to entertain any assistance. I’m not a “fan” of the company

That does not look like a real sticker.

Thanks Steve - I was hoping to get your input as well. Looks suspicious to me as well. Appreciate everyone responding!

This is an earlier version of the sticker that is the shape of yours and the "F" is in a different location. From what was said here I'd avoid them at any rate.

Here is the link to the Fanatics website with the different generations of stickers:

Seller is breakthebankautos  BUT I’m positive it was previously mistermancavellc which seller name is no longer “in business” but the link to break the bank has man cave framing as you can see below.
