How do people feel about the new Global Authentics (GA)?   They approved this Michael Jackson "Thriller" album.  Thanks for your thoughts on this matter.

Thank you Monty. I've always loved the song, and it sure is a pretty autograph. In my opinion.

Monty,

I have not heard back from you on your Michael Jackson In-person experience. Can you please share some more information on the following 2 autographed photos that you posted. You can be a great help to this study and to 1000's of Michael Jackson fans that may have purchased  bad material.

I was curious about these, too, Mike. I don't recall seeing Michael Jackson with straight line J's that vertically retrace like they do. Really interesting.

Considering ebay is about to ban GAI in the upcomming months I wouldn't touch anything by GA / GAI .

Is this a definate?

All I can say at this point is its being heavily discussed by ebay again after dying down a month or 2 ago. They have been removing GA / GAI authenticated items at a high rate lately due to the amount of fakes that have been getting reported. The amount of GA / GAI removals in the past year has made someone very aware of their issues.

Is it a definite? No, but I can tell you they are taking the same steps they did before ACE was removed.  GA / GAI is on its last legs with ebay. If it where not for them being an ebay "trusted" authenticator they would have been gone a year ago and then I would say its a sure thing. But ebay has been pushing them for years now, to all of a sudden be like ban then would be difficult. Lets not forget they also grade cards, do they ban them also? Its an issue they are looking at closely. I personally hope they do ban them like they have other questionable companies since they have become a joke.

Once again the purpose of the study and the shared information is not to shed a negative light on to anybody including any autograph authentication company. I do not know were you have obtained your information but I do not believe eBay is discussing the removal of GA and why you say they are on there last legs with eBay is not a fair statement, unless you can prove what you are sharing. I also think there is an issue taking the word of something that is so serious by a member that only uses the name rOb. Please use a real name and use fakes including examples for this discussion. I can also guarantee you that in this situation GA may have made a mistake, that EVERY other third party authentication company including P.A.A.S. most likely has made. I will explain more on that once I receive more examples and facts.

I apologize but the point of this topic was to answer the OP not your "study". Not only that but I do not have to explain myself to you Mr. Frost. And since we are being honest here you are the last person I would expect to know what ebay is discussing.

If you choose not to believe me that's fine and your right, heck I cant believe some of the things I have seen authenticated by a certain few companies including P.A.A.S, but hey what do I know since my user name is r0b right? (BTW The one thats associated with my yahoo account I dont think I choose it while signing up here).

If you would like I could always re-sign up with a real sounding name like Mike James to make you feel safer. But we both would know its irrelevant and a lie. Good luck on your study.

I was not looking for a fight here but I would like to have a discussion with a person that I know is for real. You should not have to hide and should have no problem using your real name. You seem to know a lot so can I assume you are an important part of the Ebay Fraud and Safety Dept.? Can you also tell us all why I would be the last person that would know what eBay is discussing? I also would like to discuss the P.A.A.S. items on eBay that you have a question about. Please present them and explain your issues with facts. I am sorry but this website is really starting to be used for education and to help the collectors with facts and examples, I do not see were you would be fitting in. You seem to have an issue with Global, if that is the case, it is very easy to pick up a phone and call them. You do not to post rumors or predictions that you have to facts to back up.
I do not want to waste my time defending GA, this is not what this is all about.
Good Luck on your negative campaign.

Once again since it seems you cant read that I said I am not hiding this is the name I was assigned by default. My real name is Robert Garvey. So there you go you can take off the tin foil hat now the mystery is over. And are you a moderator or admin? If not who are you to decides who fits in? And why the hell would I call them? Yeah hi I see on ebay tons of fake Jeters authenticated by you, why? (if you notice I used Jeter as an example, thats because the majority of Jeters that where on ebay by GAI where forgeries all in the same hand. Go look how many are listed. Thats because they are removing them fast)

And do I really need to point out why ebay wouldnt be discussing the possibility of ongoing fraud with a banned authenticator such as yourself? But please correct me if I am wrong and let me know who your contact is. I would love to speak with them. Here is a fantastic PAAS Jordan. As you can see its hard to show proof when they end like this.

Rob is correct.  that company has had an inordinate amount of fake items on Ebay, many of them high profile, high priced signatures like Jeter, Pujols, and Tom Brady.  I cannot comment on their current status at Ebay, but their authentication errors are well known.

I HAVE JUST AS MUCH FAITH IN GAI AS I DO PSA OR JSA... AND ALL 3 COMPANIES ARE HERE TO STAY, IT'S THESE SMALLER COMPANIES AND BOOTLEG "FLY-BY NIGHT" COMPANIES I QUESTION, ACE AND PAAS INCLUDED.
