With the New York Comic Con just over the horizon I thought that it would be an opportune time to discuss anything and everything related to it.  I am particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has purchased in-person autographs from any of the scheduled guests in the recent past.  Although I will not be attending this year other collectors who plan on attending may need to determine how much money to bring and any help would be great.  Thanks in advance for any information that you are able to provide.

id guess adam west to be around 20 dollars he sells them on his site personalized from about 20 up depending on the item

Thanks Steven.  I hope you're right.  I actually met Adam West years ago at a comic convention in New York City and I think that I paid $20 or $30 for his signature back then.  I'm hoping to add a Dynamic Duo piece to my collection this time.

I will go ahead and say that Ian Mcdiaraid's line will be CRAZY! His signatures from the Star Wars celebration were nice yet totally different from his standard in-person signatures. It was his 1st ever convention appearance though.

Grab Adam West while you can. I think that people forget how old Adam really is.

I have met Geoff Johns and Jim Lee several times. I'm not too happy with Goeff right now due to the Green Lantern story that's running. lol!

HAVE FUN!

Is it true that Ian Mcdiaraid charged $125.00 for an autograph at Star Wars Celebration?

I hope not.  That would be half of my allowance.

Thanks Brandon.  I'll keep you posted.

Brandon, do you recall if Geoff Johns and Jim Lee charged for their autographs and if so how much?

Brandon, you may be right about Adam West.  He was unable to make it to his seat without assistance.  He is having a lot of difficulty walking.  I hope that his health is otherwise good.

a few years back Adam West was North of $50.00 and Burt Ward was around $40.00 if I recall the signings correctly.  They appeared at a Boston MegaFest along with several others.  Sean Astin was in last year and was reasonble at $20.00  however unless he has changed what he brings on his own to be signed make sure you bring the picture/item you want signed.  The variety of pictures he had (2) were pitiful.  Of course, I'm sure the show vendors have lots of varieties but snag them before you get in the line.   I didn't realize this and when you get to the table from the line... it's either get one or go find one!  Since I knew AW would also have some better ones up latter on, I grabbed an inperson one that he had and then a few better one's from AW's auctions which I think if memory serves me right were about the same or a few dollars less.

Thanks for the information about Astin DB.  I am guessing that a Goonies photo was not one of the two so I will search eBay this weekend.

I got Ian McDiarmid through Official Pix and they were charging what they charged at The SW Fan Convention thingy, and it was like $160!

Hopefully if he is asking that much the line will not be as long as it would otherwise be.  I may have to trim my wish list.
