Auction Company in Miami Saying No to Fakes!

Hi, My Name is Javier Garcia i am the owner and auctioneer of Omega Auction Corp in Hialeah, FL.

In the past i have sold (CSC, Christopher Morales, Myst O Graph, And Others).

It was recently brought to my attention that they are Authenticating Fakes.

Knowing that i recently told my consigners that i will no longer be selling anything without having it looked at by Michael Frost from PAAS, Along with refunding my most recent sales of those pieces.

Mike took the time to explain the way these people are trying to mess up this hobby and really ripping off upcoming and unknowing collectors.

Just thought if multiple auction houses were made aware of the fakes we can get together and make a difference in trying to stop such a strong circulation of the un authentic autogrpahs.

Anything we can do to help, Feel Free to let us know.

We Are trying to run and honest auction house, trying to make money, but not by ripping of people that have to work hard for there money.

Good for you Javier. For every auction house saying No there are dozens who are aware but do little to stem the problem. LiveAuctioneers, IProxy and many others are fertile ground.... From what I can see - if it has a COA it must be authentic.

Also glad to see Mike Frost has made you aware of such problems as well. A good place to also start is with EBAY's Banned List (although they have their share of problems to say the least) as it is a good reference list. Or as I say, if you get banned by EBAY you must really be doing something wrong.

I want to thank OMEGA and Javier for refunding me I contacted him when I saw the COA and he was very understanding. I destroyed the items that where sent to me. The market needs to be cleaned up it may take decades for it to happen but it has to start somewhere. Passing it along to someone else will not do it if you get one destroy the fakes. They maky look nice by there are not real and will make collectables worthless. Go to Omega Auctions they are on the right track. Thank You
