A plastic baseball that records a short message from the player instead of being signed.

My prediction is this will not take over the hobby or replace real signed baseballs. LOL

I don't know Steve.  I think it would be a nice addition to the balls as part of the GFA authentication process.  the voice would say "you have just been screwed out your hard earned cash!"

LOL

Gimmicky.

well they do hockey pucks and nascar tires too!

I love it. Sometimes people think they have a new idea, but it's really just the same crappy idea that didn't work many times before. Example...

In 2000 Upperdeck releases Powerdeck. Why not release a product that replaced baseball cards with mini CD roms?

15 years later, they are available on EBay for about $1 each. And that's if it's a star player. Why? Ask any kid who collects baseball cards if they want a Ken Griffey Jr CD rom. What will they say? "What's a CD Rom?"
