the important thing is that both the original

Both? I'm only seeing the one with him & his guitar. The one of him holding his guitar, wearing his shades, is real. Done real sloppy, but 100% genuine...IMO. How did you obtain it?

oh well.... charlie is probably getting a kick out of it.  sometimes he just signs stuff to me........."easy".....at least he's not stuffed and on display on hollywood blvd...... ......yet

What's the fascination with Manson, I really don't understand.

I'm not trying to be a wise arse, but out of interest, what is it.

Between all of the Manson and Hitler posts lately we are getting in a pretty dark area lately around here.

Maybe a new group needs to be created for this area Steve?

It's hard to figure out what to allow and what not to.

Steve, everyone is entitled to their opinion.  Just not sure an autograph site is the place to air it out.

Exactly! It has gone beyond autographs to promote agendas. Either make a "hate" group on the board for all things evil or maybe at the very least an off topic group?

As repulsive as Hitler is, I feel that his autograph is part of a legitimate collecting area. And we certainly don't want evil like his forgotten.

I didn't allow Nicolas to sell it here, though. When I saw that he listed it I removed it and sent him a note.

Good idea. I'll set up a private group for distasteful topics like these. Nothing will appear in the activity feed so it won't get much traffic, but those who want it will know it's there.

I can only speak for myself, but for me it's the fascination with just how wrong this whole perception of Manson is. How Bugliosi, with the help of the media, has literally convinced the public of this ludicrous helter-skelter BS theory when in fact the physical evidence &/or facts of the case prove the complete opposite. Don't get me wrong, Manson hasn't helped his case much either by acting insane for the cameras etc. And when I asked him why he did this, his answer really made sense. Sad, but understandable to say the least. He said, "You think I've always acted like that? No way man, look at the beginning stages of the trial. I tried to be me, tried to be honest & respectful & be who I thought I should be & believe me soldier, I was ready to tell them the truth but they wouldn't let me. I started to see that no matter what I said or what I did, they were going to convict me & send me to the gas chamber. And once I began to realize they were taking my rights & my voice & not allowing me to defend myself, I gave up. I gave up and gave the world what it wanted... a devil fiend madman. I only gave them what they wanted." I was deeply saddened by his words so i began to pay close attention to the beginning stages of the trial. I dug up any & all video footage I could find & sure enough, there was Manson being as polite & well mannered as any rational thinking person would be in such a situation. Then as the trial progressed & Manson was denied motion after motion, barred from addressing the jury, not allowed to call one single witness, Nixon declaring him guilty before being found guilty, one of the jurors stole one of Sharon Tates autopsy photos & sold it to a European tabloid newspaper, man the list just went on & on & on but REASON AFTER REASON for a mistrial but the judge just kept it going. Completely ignored the fact this man was being crucified. When Bugliosi convinced the judge to allow Manson to address the jury would put the jury at risk of being brainwashed & convinced of Manson's innocence & the judge agreed, Manson snapped and so was born the Manson we all come to know today. Now I'm not much of a lawyer but I do know this, isn't every defendants goal to convince a jury of their innocence? But the judge granted the motion & so began the horrible injustice done to a human being. Like him or not, EVERY defendant is entitled to rights in a court of law & Manson wasn't. Manson's case is used in certain law schools around the country to teach students on how NOT to prosecute a case... I could go on & on but I'm out of time but there's a book that goes into great detail on all the mistakes & injustice in this case. The book is called, "The Railroading of Charles Manson," by Michael White. Read it, you'll be flabbergasted.

I heard, read Manson didn't sign a lot of his autograph requests, that a lot were signed by cellmates.

John and Bill,

This is an offensive topic to many members, so I'm going to close this discussion but I'm not going to delete it. PM me if you'd like a new one set up in a private goup.

Thanks
