Hello folks, I'm new to the forum. I'm a amateur private collector and have been looking at two NA Autographs from different sources. I'd really appreciate your views on their authenticity before I take the plunge on either of them!

An authentic Armstrong will not sit with a low Buy-It-Now for any length of time. I know at least a dozen collectors/dealers who troll eBay every day for underpriced Armstrongs. They would buy a low priced Armstrong without a moments hesitation.

So, if you see an Armstrong for $250 BIN and it's been sitting there for a while, in all likelihood it's not authentic.

I assume you're one of those, Steve...  ;-)

I've gone through a steep learning curve and thankful I found this forum. I'm no longer looking for an Armstrong, but I guess you guys have clocked this one... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272646399679?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649...

I have daily searches set up for most high profile space signatures. I consider it part of my job to do the daily homework; this is how you stay on top of new forgery styles, trace sources, etc. In most cases, when someone sends me an Email Opinion from an item on eBay, I've already seen it and formed an opinion.

I'm not a dealer and I don't buy much as a collector these days.

I was just razzing you a bit, Steve.  I think it's safe to say that all of us who collect space and aviation autographs are indebted to your diligence, honesty, and customer service.  The only downside of having your expertise in this field is that my bank account doesn't have as much in it as it would if you weren't available.

Both autographs are forgeries.
