Here's my initial impression...

That ball looks worn, aged, and scuffed up, but the signature appears to be on top of all that.  

Babe Ruth might well have signed such a worn ball, but usually his signature also shows some of the wear on a ball like that.

Just my opinion.

terrible photo but even with that being the case, the signature does not look correct, especially the Ba
