You're forgetting this may not even be your parcel, it could easily just be a random parcel going in the right direction?

After looking into this more, this is pretty common. You'll receive a tracking number that looks legit, but will ultimately either ship to you empty, or not at all. Also, do not open any links on any of these emails.

I'm guessing empty box and that has me worried. Kicking myself for paying with a regular debit card and not credit in haste. We have limited experiences dealing with fraud direct from our bank but are aware how much more of a hassle it is compared with credit cards. Our last experience took months to settle and it was a fight where a credit card would instantly refund and do the work themselves behind the scenes.
Details of my shipment on DHL is different than usps. Says its heading towards our rural town of technically just a few hundred people. I doubt they found a shipping label of another product headed towards a neighbor to piggyback from...
If an empty box arrives, I'm not sure even video proof would satisfy my bank. Would it be best to refuse delivery for anyone who paid thru debit? A refused and returned package without refund from the vendor should be the easiest way to investigate the claim in our favor but the world is changing fast. The best practice just 5 years ago may be outdated.

You won’t get anything, they won’t be paying for postage. I had the same on the Anthrax scam, luckily bank refunded.

I've somehow managed to avoid a lot of bad on here over the years. Funny how it happens after deciding to stop buying these types of preorders altogether. Ill take it as a sign. A form of punishment for giving in lol.
I love these forums but its going to be torture to participate and not give in once in a while

If this is all truly bogus, why go to the trouble of sending a confirm email with FedEx number tracking?
"Something" is shipping from Miami, due to arrive next Tues, so we'll see what transpires....

But since it was supposedly a UK site order, I'd expect weeks to a month in transit time normally to the US. This, supposedly shipping from FL, has it delivering a week from order date.
I held off in filing a claim with my CC, so we'll see what happens...

Wonder what I’m getting. DHL accepted Tuesday evening in Georgia, yesterday it arrived in Texas, and today it was handed off to USPS for delivery tomorrow. 🤷♂️
