Came across this seller today,  boog3    Only the rare, hard to find signatures. Checked his feedback and from April of 09 back, he sold mostly average material. He went away for a few years and then came back in 2012. His listings as of today would be the envy of some dealers. Hard to tell if they're fakes, some names being super rare, old TV character actors and such. I was able to compare a Marjorie Main sig he had with a couple examples and I would say he is not even close. Most is rare Andy Griffith Show caracters and rare western tv stars. Please take a look and let me know your thoughts.  If I'm correct, how in the world are we ever going to clean up this hobby when these junk dealers operate openly without any real repercussions?? And these are not 5 and dime sellers, nor are they the BIG money forgers. They are the 50.00 to 500.00 theives who hide behind the shield of EBAY. Something has to be done !!!!

It appears to me that he purchased an old collection or collections of both TAGS and Westerns.  Difficult to say without seeing them but if there are problem ones they do not look new.  Howard McNear looks close but does not look quite as theatrical as some of his signatures.  I have an original McNear on this site.

I notice that silentsaregolden (aka Golden Age)has purchased from this seller.  Goldenage has a pretty reputation they seem to have purchased mostly western items from him.

Absolutely interested Sam, but very careful what I buy. Love the old shows, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Have Gun, Rawhide, ect....but the rare sigs, as I stated, I'm overly cautious. Lane Bradford, I had no idea, had to look up a photo...Oh yeah...he was in lots of them...Bonanza alot. This Boog3 may be legit, he just seems to have far too many rare, rare, rare signatures, but as I said, I could be wrong

I am exactly the same way Sam so i know just what you mean.  I see a very rare autograph and even though I have a great example I am compelled to buy it if i can.  I now have 4 Burt Mustin's including two handwritten letters.  I also have two Joe E. Ross.  So I know what you mean by it looking like someone is flooding the market.  I think anyone just has to really know the signature they are after.  I have bought a couple things from boog3 that I know are genuine but like everything you need to know what you are buying.   Everyone could have questionable items they are unaware of.  i suspect this seller purchased an old collection with many good and some perhaps not good.

I have had multiple conversations with boog3 recently and when I started asking about authenticity he got really defensive. It was funny I asked him about a Forrest Lewis months ago and he said he didn't have him or chubby Johnson but recently he had a Forrest Lewis listed , thought that was weird. I think he has a mixture of good and bad items more bad than good , I think he was ignorant to forgeries and was too trusting with someone who took advantage of him ! However I asked about a specific collector in Virginia close to where he claims to live and he said he had done business with that guy so I think slot came from Gilmore in va . I know all the directors cut pages with a small photo on the cut came from Gilmore because he used to produce those by the hundreds from what I have heard. Hope this helps with insight if you know what your looking for you can buy from him but don't take his word for it.

I am not an expert on all of these old tymers autographs, but the one auto that he has that i did know looks to be good.
