This is interesting because I often see those letters.

Yes I’ve seen tons over the years in auctions.

I’m just trying to let collectors know

Please post what you feel are authentic Brian Jones signed letters to compare.

is this one ok please?

No good Michelle

GOOD! Yes all secretary...

IM glad the second one down is in this genuine lot as I own that and the lock of hair, thanks for the discussion very interesting people still get caught out with Stones secreterials to this day

I just bought a letter. I think it is secretarie written. I just wonder if the signature is real.

The special thing is that the other Stones signed on the same sheet a year later. What is striking is that the sheet is not folded and would not fit in a standard envelope. There is a certificate of authenticity from  "Gallerie Etienne Thuriet" (Alexandre Morait), but we know what it is worth. I would be happy if someone comments on that.

Sorry but the other signatures don't look real and neither does Brians I don't even think its secretarial just a very poor fake

All fake

Looks like somebody has forged the secretary’s writing, thinking it was a real Brian Jones letter.

You couldn’t make this up, unbelievable.

Keithspoon,

Would you mind reposting the geniune Brians you removed? I'd appreciate it.

When images are removed from discussions it usually decreases or destroys their value, like linking to an eBay listing without uploading the image.

Without having genuine examples to compare to the secretarials, collectors can have a hard time telling the difference.

Your discussion helped more than one collector realize that a Jones they bought was likely secretarial. Thank you.

By reposting the genuine exemplars that make your case to compare with, ethical sellers can make sure what they're selling is not secretarial, collectors can identify secretarials before they buy, and collectors who bought secretarials by mistake may be able to get refunds.
