Did George Michael sign a lot?

George Michael was always one of my 80s favorites. I don't know if he was an icon, but if not, he was not far off. He was at the very least a mega superstar. There were times in the 80s when he outsold Michael Jackson, Prince, and Madonna. He sold more than 110 million albums worldwide, and he had at least 10 number 1 hits, which is a good amount. He was said to be a kind, generous person, and I believe he rarely turned down in-person requests. But I don't see that many authenticated items on eBay. And RR Auction past results only showed a couple. People are now asking around $1500 for a PSA signed album. But there's really not that much available right now. I'm sure the forgers are honing their craft.

So where are all the George Michael autographs?

Ive seen a couple of George's items in people's collections from this part of the world. Id say he signed thousand of items.

I think you're probably right. Not many authenticated ones are showing up yet, but I'm sure more will.

I passed on buying a George signed Live Aid program years ago from a fellow who worked Wembley security that day. Photos of him signing and all. I decided to put my money into another non GM related item instead. As soon as I heard of his passing, I thought about that program. It was offered to me back in the 90s. If I could hunt it down now, I would.

No doubt. I thought his death was really shocking, especially on Christmas Day, and especially since he wrote a song called "Last Christmas", of course, never knowing the significance that song would have in his life...and death.

I'm sure many of us have regrets on not buying something, or maybe wishing we had just waited a little longer for that in-person experience that we missed by just s few minutes.

I got this George Michael 8"x12" photo. Ranks as one of my most
Treasured signed items. I am debating on having it custom framed but it could lose value if framed. Thoughts regarding that?

imo dont have it custom framed.  I saw g michael sing a number of times at the royal albert hall.  Out of interest which english autograph company did this come from?

Lucky you. I only saw him once during the Faith tour in Miami back in '88. His voice got better over time. The Symphonica cd is amazing.

Why would it lose value if properly framed with archival materials? I do my own assembly having worked as a framer in the late 80's - I would never ever leave an autograph of mine with anyone to frame. Ever. "I got all acid free stuff and the special glass for my (insert Hendrix, Lennon etc)! The framer said he ran out of acid free hinges or whatever and used regular brown tape to stick the photo down to the mat. That's OK, right?" But done correctly - why would you lose value?
