Small restock (5), act fast.

This might be a bad idea but I’m going to pass. I don’t see them being real.

After all the trouble I went through to get my money back on my credit card with Chronicles, I would be a masochist if I throw away my money on anything signed by either of them.  BTW, Patterson's memoir is out.  Think he hand signed those too... just my opinion after all that aggravation and time wasted.

LOL same here with Chronicle…hope I can get a legit one someday but I just can’t go through this again already lol…

It’s tempting though…Ive been wondering if Dolly (or team) has had a change in position and she’s signing some now after being caught. I’m baffled why Chronicle suddenly reversed their position and refunded everybody (including me) after successfully fighting my PayPal claim. Maybe she/team owned up to it and trying to make it right in some way now. Speculating, I know.

That would be amazing, but personally I wouldn't put my hopes up. If you want to do right, you do right to your complaining customers. They did not offer refunds for RRR. Suddenly selling real autographed copies to new buyers through the same retail store would only make matters worse towards the unhappy previous buyers.

It's more likely these are returns being offered again.

Right, agree it’s likely they would have addressed it with the existing base of unhappy customers instead of slipping out legit ones. And right, forgot that RRR has not been widely refunded by them that I can recall. Agree probably returns / cancels.

I am leaning towards this as well.. they must be doing something with all those returns. This is the most likely outcome but you never know. Thinking as a business, if i sold a product where 15% of buyers were unhappy and returned the item, i would be inclined to restock and resell, believing 85% of those returns will stay sold to new buyers.

We just don't know what decisions are being made behind the scenes. How many emails did Waterstones receive on this issue? Were they in constant contact with Dollys team during the fiasco? Dolly is a smart business woman. If these autopens affected her brand, she can afford to take the loss and reissue hand signed copies to put out the fire. They will either make the smartest decision or the most lucrative decision.. they won't have previous unhappy buyers in mind at this point. It would make more sense to create a buzz with real autographed books to new buyers. This could go different ways but I feel like it really is worth the risk in this case. Ive tried looking at it from every angle. Theres just no way to predict the outcome

She has done this three times, no? I'd not waste a dime if she treats her fans like this. You shouldn't have to guess at the outcome. It's rather like buying an autograph w/o knowing who or what signed it.

I'm with you on this but im a special case. Ive spent a lot of time with back and forth emails over these autopens complaining to anyone I could. A few weeks ago I had phone issue and tried factory resets before just getting a new phone..  My authentication settings weren't up to date with my email address. Im permanently locked out. No longer have access to order numbers or any past conversations. I need to start this fight over but feel its best to have proof im a customer while doing so. In my case, I hope its real, but if its not, im happy to restart my fight against these autopens.

What do we all think? It kind of looks better than my 325 usd autopen...

Sorry to say but I recognize it as one of the autopen examples.
