I just noticed eBay's approved autograph authentication services went from about ten, fifteen years ago to now ONLY two, JSA and PSA..
I think they got it right, but am curious how and Who influenced their decision?
Did they do an independent analysis over the past several years, or was it based on a relationship with either or both companies?

There are several of us here that feel that a GA sticker is a blatant sign of a forgery. I'm one of them.
I would proceed with caution with any company selling GA/GAI items. Suggests, at best, incompetence. Have these companies ever authenticated authentic material. Yes, it would seem so. Is that common? Not really.
I've said this before and I will say it again, I've looked at countless items authenticated by GA/GAI and I've seen countless Lita Ford's, Cherie Currie's, Jessica Alba's, Tim Roth's, Samuel L Jackson's, and Gwen Stefani's that are horrible forgeries authenticated by GA/GAI. That company is a blind squirrel and I'm sure they also go "OK Yeah that looks about right, let's sticker it!" as soon as they see it. A major seller on Ebay that seems to have countless items authenticated with GA/GAI is the seller "Cardboardlegendsonline" I wouldn't touch anything they have with a 50 foot pole.
I think GA/GAI makes a concerted effort to make sure a signature is good.
I'm willing to bet, when a customer comes in to purchase 500 certificates for 500 signed photos of dead athletes (which they of course didn't need to bring with them), the people at GA make absolutely sure the signature on the credit card receipt is valid.
LOL
Yes, if I understand you correctly. One thing I always suggest in my "checklist" is to look elsewhere for the same item at a very different price. Items are often listen in several locations, and sometimes for very different figures - like $699 and $1200.

Anybody heard anything about the 2000 plus Stan Lee autographs authenticated by psa, that were forged by ex employee of Stan Lee
Bob, do you have any further details or examples of the suspect items?
This happened about a year ago, did not see the items however from what I understand an employee of Stan Lee had forged signature and stickers and PSA authenticated them. some of the buyers of the forgeries were contacted by Stan Lees people, just wondered if anyone else bought any of these or has anymore info, heard there was around 2000 items authenticated, ex employee did a plea deal and recovered a lot of the bad autos, but makes you wonder how much more is out there.
I heard last year that a large batch of Stan Lee fakes had entered the marketplace, and some got by third party authentication... but they picked up on it and were onto the fakes. I didn't know more than that, but it fits with the details you provided.
I wish we had some examples of this fake style. They could be especially harmful if they have Stan's hologram. Most collectors would not think of questioning them and may even use examples like this as exemplars.
