This is one I just had to post.

Check out the below putrid-looking and ugly Derek Jeter forgery on a photograph.

The below ugly Derek Jeter forgery is listed by Ebay seller Pierce-collectibles-and-authentic.

This Derek Jeter is freaking laughable and Ebay seller Pierce-collectibles-and-authentic writes "Authentic Signed."

It might be "Authentic Signed," but not by Derek Jeter of NY Yankees fame.

This is why sellers of forgeries list their garbage on Ebay; there's a good chance a sucker or wannabe autograph collector will purchase their forgery.

In this case, this Derek Jeter forgery is so putrid and laughable, not even the wannabe autograph collectors will bid on this crap.

the ridiculous prices that are currently out there for AUTHENTIC Jeter items give forgers a market for this crap. buyers believe what they want. it seems ridiculous to us but they would rather waste 200 bucks on a forgery as long as it has a piece of paper with it, that be patient, study, and spend the same amount on a authentic version.

Yup 98% of people would see this on the wall and just accept it as authentic without knowing any better... Especially if it comes with a piece of paper.

Thankfully 2% of us have brains, or just aren't as optimistic LOL. But yes, one of the best ways athletes/celebs can fight against forgeries is to just sell their autographs on their personal website at a REASONABLE cost.
