What are members thoughts on this Merry Christmas EP signed by Elvis twice (front & back), Vernon and Red West?

It comes with a COA from the German Elvis Presley Exhibition, which I know nothing about and put very little weight on.

Thanks in advance

Could be real for me...

Thanks

It looks like it's written on the slick surface with a cartridge pen! Do you have a larger image of the front cover?

That's what I thought as well. Unfortunately no larger image of the cover. What do you make if it stylistically Steve?

From a distance, I think that Elvis could have written it—I don't know Vernon's autograph—but I need to see a closeup of the cover. This is a piece that needs input from experienced Elvis authenticators like Roger Epperson and Rich Consola. I imagine they've seen it before, too.

My initial thought was that it has a very good chance of being authentic. I'm also not familiar with Vernon's autograph, but having compared it with known exemplars it looks plausible. It'll be interesting to hear what Roger/Rich make of it.

So it's a British release with a German COA

That COA inspires zero confidence. It's pretty much useless IMO.

Interesting that this item has never ever seen the light of day.

I would be surprised if Consola or Epperson has ever seen this.

My advice (free of charge & unsolicited of course) is proceed with the greatest of caution.

I am as you might have guessed unconvinced.

No large image of the cover is a big warning sign right there. I don't know if it just popped up out of nowhere or if it's been around. It's the strangest Elvis I recall, real or not. I just can't rule it out yet.

Is that fountain on slick surface - nothing smudged at all?

I am with Don Webster to proceed with the greatest caution. I have doubts that this is real. But you need definitely a larger image.

Hey guys!

To me, this looks real. The Elvis handwriting seems typical to me and the Vernon autograph, too (it looks similar to mine). I am no expert on Red West - although I specialise on Elvis autographs a little (I own several). The way "love you" is written (only used in early years) looks exactly the same like on an autograph I have from 1955. I guess it was a fountain pen, by the way.

And maybe I can help out with explaining and vouching for the "GEPE - German Elvis Presley Exhibition" (provided the COA is real, I cannot see it). What is behind is the former Elvis Museum in Duesseldorf, Germany (cf. http://www.elvis-duesseldorf.de/) which had to close in the meantime but tours Europe in a mobile version. I know the guy behind, Andy,  personally and he is probably the biggest Elvis fan on the planet with an extraordinary collection (e.g. see https://www.bild.de/regional/frankfurt/frankfurt-aktuell/bad-hombur...).

I bought many fantastic items from him (e.g. signed and dedicated LP and signed guitar) - together with a GEPE COA. So an absolutely trustworthy source for Elvis memorabilia in my view.

He is an author of a book (Private Presley: The Missing Years - Elvis in Germany) and goes on tour with Elvis' former TCB Band (and from time to time lets them use the original black ISANA guitar Elvis bought in Germany during his army stint on Dec. 20, 1959).

Is this EP still on sale somewhere, by the way?

Best regards

Markus from Germany

Still remains an elaborate fake fantasy piece IMO
