I understand that this seller has a lot of quality items, and sometimes they unknowingly put questionable items up for auction/sale.  There are two things that concern me here, first the signature itself screams forgery. Even if you are not familiar with Pujols, this one is extremely shaky.

The other thing that I don't understand is why GAI certified items are still allowed on ebay, if they are, indeed, trying to clean things up.  Is there a connection that we are not aware of?

OMG that's bad.

You don't even need to be familiar with Pujol's signature to know that one is a clunker. You'd think anyone with a fundamental grasp of speed and flow would know something was very wrong with that signature.

Looks like Pujol got the shakes when signing this ball LOL

I saw this last night. Looks flat out terrible. Another hot mess being served up by our buddies at GAI.

Holy crap!!!  That is one awful forgery listed by Ebay seller Probstein123.  Just shows that almost all of these consignment sellers don't know squat about autographs.  As a matter of fact, many of the autographs listed  by consignment sellers, are autographs that have been previously removed by Ebay.  I am puzzled that seller Probstein123 isn't more careful about his autograph listings.

Ok, I think I jumped the gun when I bashed on GAI this time around. You guys, check out the link to the auction site and look at the closeup picture of the GAI sticker. That thing has clearly been tampered with. Probably taken off of a good autograph and placed on this piece of crap.

Nice call. This is a fake label and a fake certificate. Obviously the signature is fake also and no one at the company would ever certify a Pujols autograph like this. It is being removed and I am speaking with the seller tomorrow.

Maybe someone from GAI saw it on ebay and voided it instantly.

I certainly applaud Mr. Sipe taking action on this.  I will say here that I have alerted Mr. Sipe to some suspicious GA certed items in the past and he has taken action.

I hate to see this on Probestein's auction...He usually has thousands of auction items up at one clip...I don't think he would willing sell junk...this is quite bad...don't know if he overlooks all items either...but I know he does do those consignment sales...I don't know why this would be something they would be interested in on a split sale...it is really horrific...

I deleted my comment asking who Steve Sipe was. I appologize, I had no idea that he was "The Man" at GAI. I'm still pretty new here, and don't have many items authenticated from GAI. That is very awesome that he took action that fast.
