Heads up on a great deal - Mantle, DiMaggio, Brown, and more - sale price $37,499.25!!

You know, since, for the most part, we're a friendly community, I thought I'd pass along info on what looks like just a sweetheart of a deal. Get this: if you act now, you can own a baseball signed by not only greats Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio, but also Casey Stengel, Hank Bauer, and more for ONLY $37,499.25!! And that's down from $50,000.

I mean you're saving almost $12,500! Think of what you can do with that extra $12,500. You'll be set for the next several Valentine's Days! Unfortunately, despite a wonderful price, it's still more than I can afford right now. Yet, I just wanted to bring this great opportunity to the attention of my fellow collectors with deeper pockets than I.

If someone here does take advantage of the awesome savings though, maybe you could give back a little of it to the seller who could perhaps use some grammar and spelling lessons. He might not yet "reconize" the problem he has with distinguishing between "to" and "too". Also keep in mind that you can make "a offer" to him, because some things he "might of" had for a long time.

Anyway, this might make more sense after you read his description. There's a pic below, and here's a link:

Oh, and look. I know we all make mistakes with our spelling, grammar, and punctuation from time to time. However, when you offer a baseball for a ridiculously-high price AND use bad English, then I can be bothered by it.

Either sell the ball for a really low price, and use poor grammar, or sell high and use proper English. Because as we know, two "bads" don't make a "good".

SSShhhh  Don't tell Dom on this great deal.

Lol!

lol he will be along soon too reply, Dom is good.

He knows his stuff. That's for sure.

I'll take two

Ok, sir. That'll be $75,000. Would you also like two ball cubes with that? That would bring your total to $76,000. They're really nice cubes! Trust me.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that your savings is now about $25,000. Congratulations!

Cracks me up what some of these goons on eBay think their stuff is worth... Everyday I see some moron list a Mattingly .20 card for $15 BIN, my favorite is when they put "BIN STEAL!" in the subtitle.

Also plenty of Mantle 8x10s go up for 1k+, when you can buy one for <$200 all day LOL.

I'm currently in a 3+ month standoff with some moron eBay seller who has a card I need. The guy is asking $40 BIN, when it's a $6 card AT BEST. I've messaged him probably 10x showing him previous sales, and the clown just will not go down. It's been relisted 5+ times and I'm always the ONLY watcher, with the ONLY offers. He even recently marked it down to $30, and it still will never sell. It wouldn't even sell at $10. LOL.

Sadly, some sellers just don't want to give in to reality. They have this notion of what their item must be worth, when in reality it's not. I think the guy selling this Mantle, DiMaggio ball isn't even a sports memorabilia guy; so he's probably heard that these old balls are worth a lot of money, not realizing that $1k to $2k is also a lot of money. I'm not exactly sure myself what it's worth. I don't know if $1k to $2k is accurate, but I know it's not $37k!

In your case, sounds like that dude is just being an AH even when confronted with proof of what you're saying.
