This is a lot better than the other Ringo you posted a while ago. I think it might be good, but I wouldn't want it. I'd want one with more classic Ringo characteristics.

Cool... yeah this one definitely looks more real than the previous one. The guy selling has exact dates of when he obtained it and such, so I'm fairly confident that it is legitimate. Hopefully some other kind folks will chime in!

I think it's safest to buy an autograph that stands on its own without the story. It may well be good, but I'd be careful about letting the story influence me.

Your Paul McCartney, in comparison, is not a nice looking example, but it looks slam-dunk genuine to me. I enjoyed hearing your story of getting it signed, but the autograph stands on its own. That's what you want to buy.

You're very right... I try not to let the story get in the way, which is certainly why I brought it here to get some other opinions! We'll see how this one plays out. It would be nice to have that signed photo.

It would be a nice photo to have signed. Adam is right, the R is unusually condensed. The underline starts from the right, which has been unusual since he stopped starting it with a star. And I'd want a G with a higher upstroke...and more closed a loop.

But I wouldn't hold this autograph against the seller. I think it's more likely genuine than not. I just wouldn't buy it.

I agree with Steve. "The guy selling has exact dates of when he obtained it and such, so I'm fairly confident that it is legitimate." - Careful there IMHO, that information is of tertiary value at best in tandem with other things, at worst it could be totally fictitious. Steve is quite correct - a decent example needs no explanation and will proclaim itself genuine on its merits.

Eric

I wouldn't want it either.  would always question it.

I think this MAY be authentic. The R looks really condensed. However, I agree I would want a slam dunk for sure I wouldn't question.
There is a lot about this that looks off to me, and I don't think it's real

This one is typically "live" signed. Not to be compared with his "sit down" autograph cards.
