This is from eBay seller thenovascotiakid. Janis Joplin apparently came back to life to sign this reel to reel copy of “Pearl.” This is from the auction description:

I am an honest, serious collector and would never sell something I believe is not authentic. I do extensive reviews of anything I sell, and have a close friend who has authenticated for Disney and hard rock hotels if I need a second opinion... I only buy from dependable collectors who I research first and develop relationships with, or obtain myself...

Interesting yet very disturbing because I've ran into this sellers items before. Of course never even came close to makong a purchase because I always found fault. I almost never base my purchases on other items being offered by a seller but in this case, I can see a lot of amateur collectors being fooled. Some of this sellers items could be considered close by amateurs and he could dupe a lot of people if they don't research every aspect including the other items listed.
Ive seen this Twister cd (link below) more than once and wished it was authentic. I went through this sellers stuff myself hoping he was legit and give me reason to spend more time on it even though I was certain it was fake right away. This movie and soundtrack changed my life way back when I was 16 and if real, I would have paid instantly as soon as I saw it which is why I may have tried to will this as authentic if I was still a kid and wasn't so experienced (unlike every autograph I ever purchase) This was months ago. When I saw all his other items I just laughed and went about my business. I know ebay wouldn't take me seriously as one person, but now that this has traction, ill send them a message to help out on this matter and try to get this seller banned.

I would hope that his offering an impossible item and claiming that it came from a 4,000+ piece collection would cause eBay to examine his other offerings, but obviously the chances of that happening are slim to none. He has everything under the sun though. I’m surprised that he doesn’t have a Nick Drake autograph. Maybe I shouldn’t have said that. LOL

Very uneven I am getting different responses none of which are that. Report seller and item is what I did and then called a human.
