Do you think it's real? Thanks!

I agree those look different, but you can also find ones that look very similar to the one in the book -- like the Helping Hands Marathon sigs. His sig varied a bit during the 70s.
Good exemplars, but how someone signs a check may be different than a street graph -- thanks for sending those though, cool to look at.
it looks strange to me
I agree as well. The signature looks odd, as does the item itself.
The more I look at it, the less I’m liking it. There basically is no “h” in the autograph. However, occasionally John would sort of abbreviate his first name with some of these 70’s style autographs. I emphasize on occasion, however. Much more often than not you could make out an “h”. I’m having less confidence that it’s real. I’ll,be interested to hear what Roger thinks.
One possible telling point could be the price it was sold for. If it were dirt cheap...say $1000, then I would say the likelihood of its being fake would be high because no one is going to part with a real Lennon, plenty bold and on a good item for dirt cheap...short of needing a quick fix.
i understand if you don’t want to disclose what you paid,,but if it was really low, I’d be concerned.
I have not liked this since I first saw it - it presents as uncomfortable.
Just checking back to see what Roger said on this one. Any word?
I don't think it's real. It doesn't have the characteristics of Lennon's hand.
