What are your thoughts on this LP cover allegedly signed by both when Carl Perkins was a member of the touring and recording band?

Don't know about the Perkins, but I don't like the Johnny Cash.

Well, I like the Perkins, not sure about Johnny.

The LP is 1972, these two signatures are 1976, from RR:

"these two signatures are 1976, from RR:"

Lol!

Hang on, let me qualify that....

ROTFLMAO!

RR offered to buy it from me for $500 outright or list it with a $1500 reserve.

So let's be mutually assured about where they are coming from.

I'd rather throw it in the bin than pass it on if it's wrong.

Johnny Cash people - help! Provenance is sound.

Look, I was just posting what I could find to try and help.

Eric,

I appreciate (very much) that you were trying to help but posting results of previous sales from an auction house that does not have an entirely impeccable reputation is not much help. When you personally have experience of an autograph then that is another matter.

If you do not have that intimate knowledge then you are just speculating - we can all do that simply by comparing with examples from anywhere - including ebay. I, personally, would never "speculate" about an autograph on this forum. You either know it is fake or you know that it  is authentic based on your own personal experience and expertise. If you are on the fence, or going by hunches then that is just so much heresay and not, therefore, that much helpful.

No good deed goes unpunished...

I was trying to show that the Perkins appears a simulation and seems devoid of "life" or "intent" for lack of the word I am trying to think of. Cash has been discussed here at length in the past and I gave a minor opinion. Others obviously know more.

The word I was looking for is "conviction".

"...You either know it is fake or you know that it  is authentic based on your own personal experience and expertise..."

Yup.

Eric's nice, he puts a lot of effort into helping people. He even made a group of pictures for you. Most people just say words, not that there's anything wrong with that but he went the extra mile for ya.

When did RR start offering to buy outright? In any case, the Cash looks good to me. I don't know Perkins' autograph.
