How To Be Invisible: Selected Lyrics - Paperback | Kate Bush
Jeez - this is truly a criminal activity. I wonder whether the walrus flippers at the top charge the sardine flippers some form of a subscription fee in order to get access to those deals. Revolting activity. How could this be reported?
Dreadful. After having seen them en masse at E J fiasco nothing surprises me. Also , it doesnt make sense, how can you take well over 50 per cent of the stock?
They actually had another post about the Elton John LPs. Horrible.
dont upset me more. wonder who one would report them to?
Wow. I think they are lying and trying to get attention? It is best we don't give it to them. We should report them and try and get them shut down for committing fraudulent activities. It seems they are based in the UK.
This looks made up to me. If they really had an easy way to get sought after items why advertise it? Why call out for new members? Every one who joins is a potetntional competitor after all.
Also there are currently 99 books up for sale, some of them with a UV message and only a handful have been selling each day day so far so that valuation seems silly.
A lot of reselling channels are hype/fake. You can throw a rock on Youtube and hit one of those "flipping" channels where the creator is bragging about a few bucks in profit. The ones who have their operations together have brick-and-mortar facilities/aren't running a subscription network that comes across as more of a pyramid scheme than anything else.
I've made the same comments to a buddy of mine who also collects. We've seen flippers go into thrift stores and use apps to buy carts jampacked full of clothes/books/you name it, spending hundreds on the chance that most/all of those items sell, and not counting other expenses that eat into the margins (shipping/storage/et al). It might have made for better margins a few years back, but these days, the profit per hour is still far below what you'd get at a normal retail job.
It's not out of the realm of possibility that flippers scored 50% of the available books (200-225, depending on the 500 estimated books signed earlier in this thread), but given the discrepancies between EBay sold listings, the fact that some copies were held back for a physical release at Waterstones (unpaid/cancelled listings), and the fact that the WS listing for the book was only made available to newsletter subscribers in the middle of the night initially (and they had, what, 50? 75 copies? And we had 4-5 people just on this forum who scored one through the link, to boot), I'm calling BS on the post.
That's some pretty epic douchebaggery, whatever's going on there.
I believe the Ellie Goulding personally signed lps were also on their radar a quick search on e bay brings up a host of identical sellers none of the usual music flippers, all using the same picture and selling the usual items ,traniers ,nintendo ,ps5 etc
