Hi there. As a new collector, this is my first post on Autograph Live and I am desperate for help on this item. I purchased a Wayne Gretzky autograph, which came with the WGAuthentics hologram and certificate. When I received the item in the mail today (16x20 photo), something did not seem right. As I examined the autograph closely, I am able to clearly see the streaks of the sharpie, overlaps, and disruptions in the glossy photo paper… However, the part of the autograph that would fade due to lighter pen pressure almost appears to be blurry and pixilated. Please help me to determine whether or not this is live ink. I have attached plenty of closeup images using a magnifying loupe, as well as angles which show the sharpie streaks etc. Any and all help is much appreciated. Thank you all in advance!

One of your pics shows the ink in direct glare - it looks as if it will do what it should with live ink - turn color to a sort of orange. If the ink disappears into the photo when in direct glare it is likely a preprint etc.

Thank you, Eric. I see what you are saying, it does appear to be almost a dark orange in direct glare. Your feedback is definitely reassuring, I appreciate it!

I agree with Eric, the ink looks live.

Thank you Steve! I appreciate the response, I can now sleep peacefully tonight.
