Regrettably, the signature is a terrible forgery. This was penned by forger Greg Marino of Operation Bullpen infamy. The paperwork is worthless and meaningless.

How are you able to ID it to Marino specifically?

Seeing many examples over time and memorizing the distinct look. His Ms in particular stick out like a sore thumb. The “flag” of the Ms  looks like a backwards D and the straight portion is way too vertical. There are many issues with the signature.

Because of Mantle’s contract with Upper Deck, he rarely, if ever, signed a bat or other exclusive items to his UDA contract when at a show.

Also, just a s note, Mickey Mantle DID NOT sign any bats for Scoreboard.

Exactly.

LOL another cert scam PERIOD

I met Mickey Mantle in New Haven  many years ago. Signatures were at a cost of  $  30  each. I wish I had bought more . There were signs everyplace stating  "   NO BATS  "  .   I think this was a rule at most baseball card shows.  I  came close to attending a show Sunday, but I  ended up turning around, I was not up to it.  I tend to avoid certain deceased ball players  because I distrust most available material on the market.  I do not even attempt to discern any longer .
